    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Shooting/Throwing into melee and missing....

Hiya So I've always made Ad Hoc rules when a character misses a shot like this depending on the situation, but i was wondering if anyone here had or knew of a chart or rule that would make missing a shot like this more interesting or more dangerous. Just Curious :D

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Misc. Questions

Hiya So i had a few questions that i wasnt able to find anywhere. -About what Strength score under 10 would a humanoid be too weak to draw and shoot a bow? -Spot and Listen are obvious, but what skills would you use for smelling something. Say, someone with scent.

Help with a freeform survival campaign

Im getting ready to run a survival campaign in 3.5 that focuses on the players using their abilities intelligently rather than just kill everything infront of you. My problem comes with the freeform idea of letting the players depict where they go. Because the island has dangers ranging from...

    Underdark Adventure Ideas

The underdark has MAJOR potential. Being a big R.A. Salvatore fan I know the kind of dangers and fun you can have in the UD. You could have a section of the citadel break away to the upper underdark (maybe meepo knows the way) and the party would have to navagate the dangerous network of caves...

    Wands, and Higher Level Spells

Scenario: An 11th level Bard (has access to max 4th level bard spells) wants to use a wand of Analyze Dweomer (6th level bard spell) Now, the spell is on his class spell list and he has 20 Charisma. Can he use the wand without penalty? Does he have to use Use Magic Device? If so, what would be...

Hello, this is my first review of a published product so be nice :D. I see a lot of people asking about adventures and I think that detailed reviews can help these forum members in choosing an adventure for their own games. Expedition to the Demonweb Pits is D&D 3.5 Adventure for 9th level...

    Looking for a new adventure!

Hey there! I've been running Expedition to the Demonweb Pits with my players for the last month and we're having a blast! It's a 9th-12th adventure that can be VERY challenging depending on how your players are. There ARE some minor errors in the book and if the party wanders around unprepared...

    Cloak of Invisibility

Ok, in the campaign im running, one of the PC's acquired a cloak of invisibility. Now, I've looked through a few books and haven't found anything. I have ruled that its to be treated the same as a ring of invisibility and lasts for 3min (CL 3rd). My question is, should the cloak have a limit...

    Assassin's and the Good Alignment

wow, more great answers. Ok, so i've been thinking. What alignment does this guy sound like at the end of the story? Could he be CN? Or , going way out there, could he have gone CE CN N?

    Assassin's and the Good Alignment

Ok, thanks for the quick responses. Now, putting aside the fact that a previous post is more or less just copied from another thread with the word assassin plugged in... D&D is a place where, given the right circumstances and enough time, anything can happen. So I don't see why an assassin can't...

    Assassin's and the Good Alignment

So in my games I have ruled that assassin's may be any non-good do to the sake that I view the class as an art to be perfected rather then just a cold, calculating murderer-for-hire. This brings me to my current dilemma (work with me on this): WARNING: Wall of Story Text Grendel made his living...

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 DM Considering 4E

Ok, so I've been DMing for awhile and I keep getting tired of seeing great ideas and campaigns..... only for 4E. I am a 3.5 DM by nature and im very familiar with it. -BUT- I want to know some of the big differences between 3.5 and 4E, good things bad things, things to really consider, and major...

    XP Question

Wow, so many brilliant answers. Herzog: The NPC Paladin was being played by a player (if he tries something out of alignment i remind him). The guide was being played by me. --I feel as though the players deserve something for surviving the encounter as it was the paladin's choice to be...
