The one I deal with level drain (heavily home brewed first edition) is characters lose the level not experience, meaning they need to go level training again until they can use those powers etc, so it practice it works as a fairly nasty annoyance but not one that feels like they've lost invested...

I just use windows normal folder structure, and have all my stuff on a spare drive. That said, for ebooks, I use calibre (free calibre - E-book management), which would probably work for gaming PDFs too.

That is actually unlikely on day one, though a mod at some point in inevitable. At least going by the history of Solasta 1 modding. I also think no one really cares that much about Solasta, its moved to be more about if they should be in D&D24.

AD&D had races that gained features as they leveled, instead of all abilities at first level (eg thrikreen, drow) as another example.
