The PH says that a wizard gets ALL 0-levels...

Do YOU as a DM, allow that a to just receive the 0's in the PH, or do you allow those 0's and all 0's from other sources?

It's really got to be that way. When a new sourcebook comes out, do the new 0-level spells in it get added to the wizard's spellbook retroactively? That would be very strange indeed ...

Of course, a DM might well include some additional 0-level spells at the start of the game that would be included in a wizard's starting spellbook. I don't think I would do that, myself, though. The spells in the PHB are more than adequate, IMO.

i do not even make them write them down, anything that meager they should be able to figure out how to do without much if any research, it is after all the thing they have devoted their lives to learning how to do. I make them roll a spellcraft check dc10, if they make it the knowledge is instantly theirs, if not they can think about it tomorrow after some rest. i don't see 0 level spells as game breaking or even as something that matters. if they want the thing, i give it to them.

IMC all wizards begin with all the cantrips in the PH minus any that belong to a prohibited school due to specialization. Now that T&B is out, I have added Repair Minor Damage to the "core" list for all wizards. All other cantrips from other source books must be found or researched normally.
