My fave is the ad for the 1200 BPS modem that is bigger than 3 laptops stacked.

I was impressed for 1971. I mean who was there to connect in 1971?

Actually he reminds me more of Wallace Shawn (Dealer from Vegas Vacation, Grand Nagus Zek from Deep Space 9, Vizzini from Princess Bride).

LOL. In that same job I had in college, I was frequently downloading population data from the university computers over a 300-baud modem, attached to a teletype machine.

And, I had a cheap little Timex Sinclair computer in my dorm room. That thing was a piece, to be sure.
