10 more creatures added to the CC

Dracolicious
Another flight of true dragons descend upon the Creature Catalogue!

This collection includes the Mystaran Gem Dragons, which resemble chromatic and metallic dragons, but are of different alignments and with unusual powers. These include the ice-breathing Crystalline Dragon, the rot-spewing Jade Dragon, the dark-clinging Onyx Dragon, and the flamethrowing Ruby Dragon.

The forest-dwelling Auburn Dragon shares many traits of druids, while the Mustard Dragon prefers to live among humans. The shifty Chameleon Dragon is a master of imitating other members of dragonkind, while the primitive Bestiary Dragon lacks a breath weapon, relying on ferocious melee attacks and its heat-generation. The xenophobic Tourmaline Dragons seek to hunt gem dragons to extinction, while the Pearl Dragon is content to frolic in the ocean and dive for its namesake gems.

You've added my Killer Mimic to the CC, but the source accreditation is wrong. The Killer Mimic debuted in Gygax's 1977 Monster Manual, not the Monstrous Compendium Volume Two.

I'll fix this just as soon as I catch my breath (and relax my carpal tunnel-threatened wrists)!

Remakes and revamps
This week, we've taken 10 old conversions and gave 'em a shiny new coat of paint (and finally brought them to the 3.5 ruleset). The set includes a pair of fey (the spiny Bramble and flowery Gorse), a few creatures from the Great Glacier (the Kupuk and Tirichik), the massive hippopotamus known as the Behemoth, the hellish Netherbird, the magical/psionic Opinicus (and its greater version), the undead Shee (or Banshee Rider), and the pseudo-template of Pseudo-undead.

The Motion of the Ocean
Ten aquatic critters swim into the Creature Catalogue this week.

Among them are a number of giant fish, including the water-blasting Giant Archerfish, the raging Giant Betta, the venomous Giant Porcupine Fish, and the massive-mawed Giant Grouper.

A pair of eels slither in as well, including the camouflaged Weed Eel and the lock-jaw Morena.

From the lakes and streams beneath Undermountain come a trio of subterranean fish. These include the disease-spreading Iridescent Plecos, the spiny, stunning Lemon Fish, and the paralyzing Wattley (which grow even deadlier in swarms).

A clam, the Giant Carnivorous Scallop, rounds out the set.

The Dead Won't Rest
What better way to usher in the new year than with a ravenous pack of undead?

This batch includes a few minor variants on existing undead, including the Half-Wight and Lesser Ghost. The Crypt Servant is thematically linked to the Crypt Thing, but isn't weaker.

The Ghost Mount imitates a living steed to lure riders and drain them of their life force. Less vindictive and less deadly, the Lesser Ghost Mount actually makes a decent steed, even for the living.

The Cariad Ysbrd is the anti-banshee, a good-aligned undead singing songs that calm the nerves and heal wounds. The Psionic Spirit is the vengeful soul of a slain psion, while a Visceraith is the floating organs of a deceased wizard, seeking a skeleton to serve as its body. The Undead Mass is a behemothic pile of animated limbs and maws, while the Battlefield Undead Mass has all that and can wields weapons.

To infinity...and beyond!
Another batch of outsiders and extraplanar beasties dimensionally travel to the Creature Catalog. The latest entries include the life-draining Death Shade and Wastrel, the magnetic Harrow, and the weather-controlling Wind Spirits (Maruts). The Sand Cow and Spittle Boar are relatively mundane animals from less-than-mundane planes. The Yaksha and Yakshini are the males and females of the same species, with the former more martial and the latter more magical. Rounding out the batch is the immortal Spirit Constrictor and the wyvernlike Mercykiller Wyrm.

There's a mistake in the lastest monster posting. The yakshini's constitution is 2 points lower than the yaksha's, but both have the same number of hit points.

Oops, you're right. Plus we forgot to modify the saves after swapping the Dex/Con bonuses around AND the grapple should be +8, not +10 like the males since their Strength bonus is 2 lower.

It should be:

Yakshini
Hit Dice: 6d8+18 (45 hp)
Base Attack/Grapple: +6/+8
Saves: Fort +8, Ref +9, Will +6
