Just speculation here, but it appears any new Ravenloft campaign book won't be out by Halloween since the October release is a Stranger Things product-not a Ravenloft book. I thought this was odd, but then I looked at my Curse of Strahd book and noticed the printing date. The first printing was in March of 2016. The Horror Subclasses UA appears to be perfect for a Ravenloft product, and releasing one 10 years after CoS has a certain elegance to it. My impression based on the UA though is that the subclasses match up with the plane of Lamordia more than Barovia though. This also allows Wizards to lean in to an official gothic Steampunk setting that is perfect for Artificers.
