What ring?

Sejs isn't the original sor/mnk poster, so he's guessing - it seems unlikely that a 3rd level character will have a 12000gp ring.

However, the mage armor from a friendly caster is plenty likely.

The Shield spell is, as Hammy McHamham points out, still a sticking point.

A paragon quickling with the run feat would have a base movement rate of 920 and a max. run rate of 4600. Add in the double move mentioned above and the math gets downright scary.

 That would mean it would move 522,73 MpH (this is rounded down) without the double move!

With the double move it would move 627,27 MpH (rounded down) with the double move.

At sea level, the speed of sound is about 761 miles per hour... So this would mean a Paragon Quickling would move at max at Mach 0,82 (rounded down) at sea level
This would mean that at 30.000 feet up (Mt. Everest for example) it would break the sound barrier

Wow that's one fast critter... :D

That's gets me wondering... How much sonic damage would a party recieve when caught in it's sonic boom?

Scary.

Unless the quickling's fast movement rate is supernatural, even after adding the paragon template from ELH, that rate of 960 is still considered "Normal" speed, and therefore he could benefit from, albeit very small, magical boots. Double all the above rates and have fun breaking the sound barrier. :D
