101 Bizarre Elvish Customs

36) A majority of elves find half-orcs extremely attractive, in spite of themselves.

37) Sea elves seldom wear any clothing. In order to maintain their modesty, they train eels and fish to swim around them constantly.

38) Because elves do not sleep they have no need of a bedroom. Their homes have less personal space and many just have a possession closet or a chest to store personal items.

40) Elves only shower in rain and would never pollute standing or flowing water with their dirt. Thus, when it doesn't rain for more than a week, you can smell an elf settlement or house from miles away.

41) This is the real reason for elf districts in most cities.

42) Being fat is a crime among elves, and everyone over a certain weight is banished to a secret valley. Hence you never see them. Rumor has it they transform into humans and emerge on our world, which is the real reason for the obesity epidemic.

43) The right of observation. When an elf reaches 111 years of age they must find a place to observe and observe it for a year. They will stand still in a single spot observing that place without blinking for a year. A special form of 'create food and water' and 'shield' are used to keep them hydrated, fed and their eyes clear. For a year they do not speak, barely move, and constantly observe.
