13 Hours of Sleep!

Angel Tarragon

Dawn Dragon
Woke up at 7 am after going to bed at 5:30 pm yesterday. Woke up at midnight and took me no more than a half an hour to go back to sleep.

Still, I can't remember the last time I slept so long. :uhoh:

I've got 2 1/2 month old twins and am lucky to get 5 hours of sleep a night.
And here you are rubbing my face in it! ;)

I sure do miss sleep though.

The longest I ever saw someone sleep was my roommate my freshman year in college. He was a diver, and for some reason, the in thing about divers was to get rescue-diver certification. So he took a course in it. The thing is, he wasn't the most athletic guy, being about 5'10" and about 270 lbs or so.

Anyway, after his exam, which he passed, he came home and slept for 19 hours straight (I timed it).

 You only get about 3 ½ hours of sleep on a weeknight? :uhoh:

In the summer I do.

Winter months I tend to get closer to 5 since it is too cold to sit on the computer and I tend to always be in the process of fighting some cold or bug.

Welcome to two full time jobs.

Back when I'd injured my back and was on some serious painkillers and muscle relaxers, one day I slept from about 11 PM Sunday - 4 PM Monday, and then 8 PM Monday - 7 AM Tuesday, waking up to take pills, get a drink of water, use the can, and rack out again. I credit that as being the start of the recovery process, actually.

The 4-8 awake period was mostly me realizing, hey, I'm hungry.

Well, damn, I was up for 22 hours yesterday and had a hell of a time going back to sleep. I woke up at 6 pm yesterday.

It's gonna be killer for me to get back on a day schedule.

I think my body is predisposed to being up at night. I suppose I'm living on the wrong side of the world. :p
