D&D 4E 1st time back in a while - 4E?????

I sat at WotC seminars at GenCon 2 months back where more than one designer said there's no 4E in the works.

Yeah..........right.
Just like the DDM price increase to $14.99 wasn't supposed to happen until Unhallowed. (then changed to Blood War)

Actually, my FLGS in West Hartford, CT recently went out of business... so, I need to find a new one in the Hartford area.

Shop online. :-D Not that I know any GREAT online retailers or anything..oh..wait...yes I do. :-)

As for 4e, I can confirm that it isn't showing up on my distributor's listings for the first part of 2007 (through April). So, I wouldn't worry too much about it popping up in 2007.

current scale is ... well actually there isn't one for the plastic minis from WotC. rough guess is 33 to 35 mm.
There is a scale for DDM: 25 mm for Medium bases, and I think it's now 48 mm for larges. As previously posted, 25 mm = 1 inch.

Did my post look 'that' real? Hmmm. ;)
I completely bought it. It fit with some of the quasi-official rumors (okay, specularion) that I've heard, and it was a believable combination of good ideas and terrifying, lowest-common-denominator profit-hounding. Nice one . . . you utter bastard, you.

the base may = 1 inch. but the scale for the fig is not when you stand them next to real 25mm scale minis.

heck look at the Human Commoner from Harbinger vs a few of the other humans.
or the Ogre from Harbinger vs the Hill Giant from ... can't remember the set

I was pretty certain he was joking from the start, but once the buzzword "collectible" turned up, I thought it was obvious.

I'd say there is a slight difference of scope between changing the schedule of a price increase and changing the schedule of a whole new game system. ;)

Thanks - I saw the link, but it seemed to be a blank page with a link to this message board, so I was a bit confused on that front.
Did you see my other link?

Correct.
However, my point was not about scope, it was about them saying one thing, while in fact, they knew it to be wrong. I'm not saying they are lying to us, just not necessarily being as honest as they could be.

It turns out they knew the price change to $14.99 could happen as early as Blood War, but that didn't stop them from saying it wouldn't occur until Unhallowed. If they were that uncertain, they should have said nothing.

That's one of the main reasons I like the plastic ones. The case I have is plenty heavy enough without them being made of lead.

Because everyone knows that a ton of plastic weighs less than a ton of lead. ;)

Oh hell yeah - the heights are all over the place. The Human Dragonslayer from way back is as big as the halflings they put out nowadays.
