Have you ever completed a campaign with the same character from 1st to 20th level?

My first 3.0 campaign went from 1st to 23rd or so. I have had one other go to 15th. Current campaign is at 10th/11th level.

I voted 'no', though if I can survive another 4 levels, I could have chosen 'almost'. The current game I'm in is around level 16 now. The DM started us at level 2. So close.

I ran one game from level 1 to level 21, and another two to the 16-17 range. The highest I've got to as a player is level 9, but even that is with a couple of PCs.

Closest I ever got was 1st-16th level with a halfling rogue. I also had human warrior in 2e that went from level 3 to level 15.

I've gone over 20th level, but only with a human psywarrior that began at 11th, and an astral deva pc that began at level 14.

As a DM I'm never seen it. I tend to do short campaigns at low levels (1st-3rd up to 7th-8th level) or high level one-shots (15+).

In 3rd Edition, I ran characters in one campaign from 2nd level to 24th level over 3.5 years of constant play.

In 2nd Edition, I ran characters from 1st level to 20th, or in some cases 18th/18th. (I ran a variant on multiclassing where you had to accumulate the XP needed for both classes to level before you could advance, thus keeping levels equal. It was a friend's house rule that I enjoyed liberating for the campaign when it started up.) The game ran for 7 years, with the last four being rather sparse (only on holidays when I went back home, that kind of thing).

As a player, I've never had a GM with enough staying power to make it that far. As I get older, I am beginning to understand why...

With Regards,
Flynn
