2 Players needed for a serious 3.5 Ravenloft Game

My character would be a Neutral Good Rogue/Cleric. He was always seen as an outcast by society. Nobody understands him, so they fear him. Because of this, he developed skills that are seen as rather shady. He has always had a good heart and a preference of Law over Chaos, but he lacks the commitment to be truly Lawful. This make him at odds with the rest of his religious order, who are all mostly Lawful Good characters since the deity is Lawful Good.

Despite all that happens to him, he tries to be as good and honest as he can be. He doesn't lie unless he really has to, such as when the truth would only cause unnecessary complications (or if it would cause outright harm). He uses his clerical abilities to heal and his rogue abilities to sneak about in places he normally wouldn't be able to get at.

Wow! I honestly didn't expect so many responces.

Festy_Dog: Post up a concept and I'll take a look. So far, we've got a Bard and possibly a Ranger.

Verbatim: As for the flawed characters, I'm all for them, but Multiple Personality are very difficult. I'd only allow you to do something like that after I've seen some of your RPing ability. Not something I'd allow to start with, but something to shoot for.

Voadam: Outlanders=Not from Ravenloft. For character creation, things start as Core only. Other feats are allowed on a case-by-case basis. I my games, only WotC material and Ravenloft stuff is allowed. Book of Exalted is the only one that I don't allow. (certain things might make it in, but don't even think about VoP).

Strahd_Von_Zarovich: All starting PCs are going to be outworlders, but I wouldn't be opposed to introducing a character later on from another domain.

Dyne: Sounds pretty good, but we'd start at level 1.

Dyne & Strahd: [sblock]Email me at Mordmorgan_the_Mad@yahoo.com if you're interested in developing those characters further[/sblock]

I totally understand the hesitancy, but just wanted to throw out an idea while the forum was open. I am in Majin's Lamentation game and Shackled city games here on the boards, which I recommend highly if anyone wants a nice read, and here is the character I play in that game is the priest Ayden Wyvernspur.

Edit: I tried to do a spoiler block which listed his stats, but couldn't get it to work for me. Sorry about that.

Insanity is something I like to work in thru RP, (and I love madness) so if you're willing, I'll work it in.

[sblock]Just wanted to make sure you know that the spoiler block is: [sblock] and [/*sblock] (without the *)[/sblock]

Thanks for the head's up on how to put the spoiler block in there...:)

As for the chance to get to work in in thru RP, I am more than willing to give it time to have it evolve, but just wanted to give you an idea of the char I would like to ultimately try to achieve.

For the beginning char, the concept I have is for a scout, will more than likely take fighter levels as well, living on the outskirts of his town and making his living on the game he sells/trades with the town.

I can start working on a more developed concept this afternoon if there is still room, but can wait as an alt if the positions are filled.

Either way, I can't wait to see how the game unfolds...

Newbie to the board

Hey, as the title suggests, I'm new to this board. Looking for a good PbP game to get my feet wet. I've always had a soft spot for Ravenloft, so this seems as good a place as any to get started.

For this world, I'd like to try my hand at an older Human Cleric/Fighter (around 40) who isn't afraid of "spreading the good word" by getting his robes a bit dirty. He's a jovial spirit, is more at home at the pub tipping back a pint (or five) than milling about a temple, and won't back down from an old fashioned brouhaha. Though a charismatic, lovable character, he's not a natural leader.

Secretly, he has never recovered from a childhood event that has led to a numbing fear of Lycanthropes and a disdain for alteration magic of any kind.

I'm thinking a spontaneous caster druid variant from unearthed arcana who specializes in summoning. I'm thinking of the summoning as calling on spirit animals as opposed to real animals (conceptually for flavor, not mechanically) and the druids as a society deep in ancient lore and mysteries of natural magic as opposed to an actual religion type of thing. I don't foresee taking an animal companion though, a summoning focus would add enough creatures into the mix I think.

While a good idea, in my Barovia, this kind of character gets put to the torch farily quickly. Barovians are largely superstitious folk, and anyone who fiddles with the spirit world must be evil, and thus destroyed. (In short, townsfolk will flee from you, and adventurers will seek you out to destroy you. In a one-on-one game, that'd be fine, but not with other PCs.)

Now this character would make a perfect Ravenloft character. Check out the spoiler block above for my email addy. Slide me an email and we'll start working out the fine points.

MtM: Should I put myself on the prepare for alt list, or keep trying to get a concept worked out in my head for submission? Either one is cool, but just wanting to know what mindset I should prep myself for...:)
