1) Is there a point in playing a Rogue anymore, when Scout or Ninja can do the same thing but better?

2) Warhorses/Warponies can be lead with the knees in combat, allowing for a full attack after a move. How can you train other mounts to do the same thing?

1)Neither the scout nor ninja get SA (or SS) damage for just flanking. The Rogue is still a viable and combat model. I would say the do the same thing in different ways, not neccesarilly better or worse.

2) I would say you do it the same way you teach any other trick to an animal.

I know the scout can not take a full attack until he enters the Borken Dervish PRC. Does not the ninja's sudden strike also suffer that limitation?

Guide with knees only allows the rider to keep their hands free. it does not enable a full attack [melee] if your mount moves.

Guide with Knees
You can react instantly to guide your mount with your knees so that you can use both hands in combat. Make your Ride check at the start of your turn. If you fail, you can use only one hand this round because you need to use the other to control your mount.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

If your mount moves more than 5 feet, you can only make a single melee attack. Essentially, you have to wait until the mount gets to your enemy before attacking, so you can’t make a full attack.

You can use ranged weapons while your mount is taking a double move, but at a -4 penalty on the attack roll. You can use ranged weapons while your mount is running (quadruple speed), at a -8 penalty. In either case, you make the attack roll when your mount has completed half its movement. You can make a full attack with a ranged weapon while your mount is moving. Likewise, you can take move actions normally

1) Sure. They are quite different if you look at the classes. A rogue is more than just a skilll monkey and sneak attack is different from a scout's skirmish. They're different flavors of the same thing, but different nonetheless.

2) The Ride skill mentions that you can guide a 'mount' with your knees with a DC 5 check. One would assume that applies to all mounts.

What about Full Attacks with Range weapons. Say you're a Scout and you guild your horse with you knees 10', can you do a full attack with the skirmish added? It says no Melee attack, nothing about Range.

That's because the Scout errata killed mounted skirmish 100%.

Page 12: Skirmish (class feature)
The second sentence of the skirmish class feature
should read as follows (new text indicated in red):

She deals an extra 1d6 points of damage on all attacks she makes during any round in which she moves at least 10 feet away from where she was at the start of her turn. The extra damage applies only to attacks made after the scout has moved at least 10 feet. The skirmish ability cannot be used while mounted.

This update should be made wherever the skirmish ability description is presented (see also pages 31, 56, and 177).
