Sorry, I forgot to report the party in my game ending up with four out of five PCs dead on December 30th. Evil game, which I knew would go badly at some point. The personalities have been coming to a head in the past month. They are all playing feudal lords holding and expanding lands in a barely settled edge of the country. Early in the session, the highest ranking member, a count, decided not to accept the help of a group of fanatic shapeshifters because he was afraid that it would get out and the good characters would start showing up and killing the PCs. The other PCs pointed out that this will happen anyway, and a fierce roleplaying argument ensued. Ultimately, the rest of the party offed the count. The named successor took over. Two days later in game, the party has to fight some powerful creatures attacking the county. The party finishes off the two big bads and some NPCs troops are finishing off the cannon fodder. One PC was taken out by the big bads, but could still be saved by an item. The Magus in the party decides now is the time to strike. (His sentient sword has been whispering in his ear that he should be in charge.) In one blow, he kills the badly wounded count. The PC downed by the big bads is not coming back now either. Then the Magus and the Antipaladin go toe-to-toe. It's a very close fight and when the Magus dies, the Antipaladin only has one hit point left. He takes the crown, declares the county his, and we declare him winner of the game.
