D&D General 2024 Rogues are not proficient with any ranged weapons

2024 Rogues are not proficient with any ranged weapons. No Shortbow or Light Crossbow proficiency.

EDIT: Nevermind, just realized the rule can be readed as "Simple Weapons" and "Martial weapons with finesse or light properties".

Unless I'm misinterpreting this post (if so, my apologies), they are proficient in a number of ranged weapons. They're proficient in "Simple Weapons" Simple weapons have a "Simple Ranged Weapons" category (dart; light crossbow; shortbow; sling). Simple melee weapons have dual use with the thrown property: dagger, handaxe; javlin; light hammer; spear.

They probably should have used a comma in the weapon list.
Rogues have a shortbow in their starting equipment so it's definitely supposed to be all Simple weapons.
