2025 Character Creation Challenge & More

Hmmm... a dog actor by the name of Marc Ruffallo. Since he is an actor, he would probably have connections with some faction of the Rodent Entertainment Conglomerate (they have their hands in everything). Perhaps he stars in his own Vidcomm series, The Incredible Zulk.

In the show, he is Bruze Banner, a shaggy sheepdog, who is a scientific genius who has a lab accident where he is bombarded with Zamma Rays turning him into a large purple doberman dog known as the Incredible Zulk. He just growls as the Incredible Zulk; he can't talk. As the Zulk, he causes much chaos but ultimately saves the day. Bruze on the other hand tries to avoid danger by keeping his alter-ego under control unless he loses his temper ("You wouldn't like me when I'm angry") or is stressed. Bruze Banner drifts from deck to deck on the Red Dwarf getting into adventures every week as he is chased by an sleazy reporter named Jock MacGee (a Scottish Terrier dog).

Day 12: Corporal Lawrence Atherton is a chemistry teacher turned combat engineer in the British Army. He is a wizard at mixing chemicals and compounds together. He is an original member of special forces unit, Allied Task Force A3 (more commonly known as the Mad Bastards). His insistence on being formal at all the times sometimes clashes with his 'less formal' fellow soldiers. A character for the WWII: Operation Whitebox RPG. These WWII characters are created for a standard espionage behind enemy lines type of game, but I'm leaning more towards Weird War Tales these days. I can then bring W.H.A.T.* into play.

Day 13: Born to privilege and wealth, Candace Skinner had everything she ever wanted and more. Spoiled and pampered, she was daddy’s little princess who always got her own way. In fact, she insisted on getting things her way. She loves dancing but not the people she has to teach it to. Red Dwarf RPG.

Day 14: Gregg Cannon is a cocky, go-lucky type of guy; nothing seems to phase him. He is happily married to his husband, Scott Spencer. He's also a glory hound that loves the attention from the media. He expects their Ghostbusters franchise to take off and propel them into stardom. He dreams of having his own talk show on TV. Ghostbusters RPG.

My two weeks so far...

Day 15: Soho Moonhill is a burglar who turned adventurer. He is pleasant and friendly, but has a ruthless streak that surfaces from time to time (especially if someone threatens him or his friends). His most surprising feature is his deep, booming voice. It's not a voice you would expect from a halfling. He usually has his faithful war dog, Brutus, by his side. Warhammer Fantasy RPG (1st Edition).

This character started as a pre-generated character from the Oldenhaller Contract adventure from 1st edition Warhammer Fantasy RPG. I'm running him as a NPC in my current Warhammer (1st edition) campaign. He has grown since his first appearance (no pun intended). My players thought it was hilarious that I gave the halfling a very deep voice. I see Soho as Billy Barty with a dose of BRIAN BLESSED.

Day 16 of the 2025 Character Creation Challenge: Aleana Lizbeth Farr is a 30th Century astronaut pilot for a generational colony ship called Hercules 212HB. The ship was funded by the Nakamura-Rubin Foundation (NRF) and it took the ship over 120 years to reach their goal, a planet known as Agozi IV located in the Hyades Star Cluster. Aleana is finding that her heart belongs in space and not on a colony world building their new home. She and eleven other sapient beings were timejacked (hijacked from time and space). They found themselves in a strange land known only as No Man's Land. She and the others are searching for a way home while avoiding hostile creatures that were also timejacked.FASA Doctor Who RPG.

Day 17 of the 2025 Character Creation Challenge: Shena-R-HEX-1 is a new troubleshooter in service to The Computer. She is a member of the Housing Preservation & Development, and Mind Control service group while she hunts traitors to the Computer, especially mutants, psychics, and members of Secret Societies. Shena has the superior endurance mutation. She is a member of the Frankenstein Destroyers secret society. She is dedicated to the destruction of intelligent robots and computers! She gets soft chirping sound hiccups when stressed. Paranoia RPG (1st Edition).

Day 18: Oscar Durant was a Professor of History from Nova Scotia, Canada, before volunteering for active service when war came in 1939. He's witnessed the horrors of the Nazis and war close up. Major Durant has been assigned to command the Special Forces unit known as Allied Task Force A3 (or more colloquially, the Mad Bastards). He is the unit's tactician and their chief translator. He's known as the Professor among his men due to his extensive knowledge of medieval European history (his academic specialty). WWII: Operation Whitebox RPG.
