2025 Character Creation Challenge & More

Chôdarzos, the Herald of Zargon is the top priest of the Cult of Zargon within the Lost City of Cynidicea. He believes he knows what's best for the Cyndiciean people. The fact that 'what's best' is also beneficial for himself personally is a perk of his position. He cares for no one except for himself. Instead of confronting the invading PCs head on, Chôdarzos will make a run for it and enter the Lower Catacombs to escape. Swords & Wizardry RPG.

Here's a pre-gen I made for my 1st edition Warhammer Fantasy campaign that I'm currently running. He was selected as one of the player characters.

Anglor Mindsong is an Wood Elf from the Great Forest of the Old World. He started as an hypnotist before branching off as an adventurer. He earned the animosity of the Valantina gang in Nuln. So much so that he left for Altdorf with his companions to let things cool down in Nuln. WFRP (1st Edition).

And here are some of my monster notes from my Swords & Wizardry D&D B4 The Lost City campaign. To the west of the Lost City of Cynidicea in the colossal cavern is the wastelands with its jagged barrens and a single volcano (known as the Eye of Zargon). The players have the horn of Zargon and they know the only way of preventing Zargon from eventually regenerating from his horn is to cast it into the Eye of Zargon. Unfortunately the Eye of Zargon is territory claimed by the efreet warlord named Kizurra and his would-be army of flame salamanders.

Sergeant Uhler is a mercenary from the village of Ruhfort near the town of Dunkelberg in the Empire. He is battle-hardy but he had one shock recently. He found a corpse that was the spitting image of himself. It had papers of inheritance from a law firm in Altdorf. He and his companions set out to Altdorf to see what the deal is with the dead man's papers. They have been followed and hunted by strange men ever since (especially a man with a hangman's noose scar on his neck).

So I decided to make a Rules Cyclopedia D&D character. I rolled 3d6 in order (yes, that's the original order). Normally I would throw such a character out and start over but this time I figured I would run with it. This is what I came up with.

Radralen is a hunchback magic-user who has a twisted spine. He suffers from a deep chest cough and wheezing when he gets over excited. He was bullied when he was a wizard's apprentice by both his master and his fellow apprentices. He now dreams of wielding great magical power so he can show up those that belittled him.

So for the hell of it, I made a bunch of house ruled* Rules Cyclopedia D&D characters where I kept the characters with sub-optimal stats to see what I could come up with. Presenting the Losers...

* I'm using ascending AC, base attack bonuses, and Advanced hit die (re:AD&D hit dice).

I've been re-watching the Robotech Macross series so I got the urge to make some Robotech characters. Instead of setting the characters after the Macross series during the reconstruction stage (that's the standard campaign background), I'm setting these characters on Macross Island during the start of the first Robotech war. The characters will be on the SDF-1 as it attempts to return to Earth from Pluto's orbit. The campaign would start in Episode 9 of Robotech and continue from there. I would view the campaign as an alternate reality so it could diverge from the standard series.

I'm still on a Robotech kick and here's info for a South American campaign set in the reconstruction phase of the series (after Macross but before Southern Cross).

Background Info:
Squadron HQ:
B-7 Ascendance City Base, located in the Argentinian Quadrant.
B Wing of Vagabond Squadron consist of a motley crew of Robotech Defense Force specialists. The squadron is a special joint operation between the destroid, veritech, and intelligence arms of the RDF. The squadron falls under the military jurisdiction of the 190th Intelligence Battalion (Company A) under the direct command of Lieutenant Colonel Fernando Garza Pagon.

The Vagabond Squadron has anywhere from 150 to 200 members at any given time. The following are the known members of B Wing (as of Episode 1).

And here's the map I made for the campaign.

Here's two character write-ups from Vagabond Squadron's B Wing - Ethan St. Johns (veritech fighter pilot) and Zaadu (Zentraedi Officer that enlisted in the RDF). The PDFs include write-ups of their mecha but I didn't include that in the image thumbnails. Also no heroforge images for these characters (perhaps later).

Cheers,

Tim
