Another good episode, IMO. I figured Navi was dead once Behrooz picked up the gun. Too much pressure on a teen and it was bound to boil over.

I loved to see Marianne get it. An did anybody else ever watch The Pretender? I believe the guy in charge of the guns that took Curtis and blew away Marianne was the actor who played Mr. Raines on The Pretender.

Oh, and who else thought about cutting off Powell's finger for the fingerprint id?

Is it just me or does the character body count seem higher this season?

Do you like the tighter involvement of Audrey's husband to the plot? I like it better than just an angry husband trying to do in Jack.

Also seems like a lot more backstabbing and manipulation at CTC now. Not sure if I like it or not. No real clean heroes on this show, not even Jack.

Yeah, I figured as much, too. I was just worried Soul Patch was going to blow away Behrooz when he busted through the door and saw him with a gun pointed in Jack's general direction.

Yeah, it was nice to see her bite the bullet. I never liked her much and she seemed to think she was still important for some reason...

I sure did! I thought we might even get another Jack/Nina moment where Marianne says, "Wait, I can still help you...I have more information."
Curtis: "No, you don't." BANG BANG BANG!

It does seem like more of the "named" characters are dying this season...

I'm not sure on this one yet...it'll be interesting to see just how involved he really is. I'm thinking that he doesn't realize how deep in it he is.

Just par for the course on this show...glad to see Tony back in CTU now. And it was good to see (can't remember her name, but the falsely accused woman) use a little leverage on Driscoll. The shoe was on the other foot for a change...

And shame on me for thinking that Audrey was going to get kidnapped when she said she was going to the hotel alone...I've still got the leftover effects of Kim Bauer syndrome, I guess. Fortunately, they seem to have done away with that this season...

Yep, that was very predictable. Although I thought I heard Jack say he wasn't quite dead? Maybe I misheard, because we would've seen more of them trying to get him back up to shape so they can get information out of him.

The voice sounded familiar... According to TVTome, the guy in charge of the guns (Forbes) is one Richard Marcus, who was the actor playing Raines on The Pretender. You were right. :) (Side Note: The Pretender DVDs come out very soon...)

Yeah, thought about it, but then does the fingerprint have to match the code entered? If Marianne didn't know Powell's code, his fingerprint would've been useless.
But, ... haven't we seen enough times where they take a fingerprint off something and use it for biometric ID? Couldn't they have done the same? Get the code from Marianne, get her fingerprint, and not bother taking her along?

Yeah, the angry husband plot wasn't very interesting...

Exactly.

Although then she may not have died in such a wonderful fashion! :]

Heh, me and my GF both were sitting on the couch going 'We have Powell's thumb, we can just cut that off. Or cut Marianne's off'. Old Hacksaw Jack must have desensitized us over the years. :D

And yeah, Audrey was starting to get a bit of Kim syndrome there. I have no idea where that one's going to go. I'm leery about Paul Raines though, with the red herrings they've seemed to throw at Jack/CTU this season. "Hey, let's torture Heller's son. Hey let's torture this loyal CTU worker."

Huzzah! Alameda is reinstated!

I was a bit skeptical about how easy those guys captured Curtis... just where the hell was his team at? Surely, they wouldn't send Curtis and Marianne there with just a couple of bodyguards?
still, I rather like how the story is playing out.... where are at in the season now? Not quite halfway done?

They've gone through 10 episodes. The last was 4:00-5:00 PM. 14 to go.

I haven't said much here but I have always liked 24, the good and the bad. I take it all together and really enjoy the show as a whole.

To that end, I think this season is as good as the first, possibly better. Why? The big thing for me is that finally, we don't have a major cliffhanger at the end of every hour! I was so sick of all of the big things being revealed at the top of the hour! It is nice that it isn't this time. And it has happened at least twice, maybe three times already, so that is good too!

Loved this episode! Very good!

Have a good one! Take care!

I've enjoyed the show since the beginning. You have to partially suspend belief to watch it (i.e. you can get anywhere in L.A. in ten minutes), but once you do that it is one hell of a ride! I love the Jack/Tony team-up this season, Jack/Michelle would have been better, but this is still a lot of fun. Best partner he's had to date.
