First Post
I liked the goings on, for the most part in this episode.

I am intrigued as to the pilots destination and target. We know he doesn't care about being able to land the plane. Also cool that it's a stealth fighter.

I also wonder whether or not Marwan was just using Behrooz as the distraction or if there is another reason. I thought they would have jsut killed him if he was just a distraction.

I thought the torture thing was geting a little stale and they need to take a break from it.

PLEASE POST A GUARD!!!! HOW DO YOU NOT POST A GUARD TO WATCH JACK BAUER?

Unfortunately, the show is not keeping my attention as it used to. I find myself wandering away from the TV or focusing more on my online browsing if I have the laptop out. I seemed to have lost real interest after the meltdowns were taken care of. Anyone else find it not so riveting anymore?

I wonder what trouble Edwin is going to get into next week. It apparently involves a CD of some sort.

I think the destination of the pilot is clear -- he's going to sneak up on Air Force One, eject, and ram the jet into the President's plane. With any luck, he'll get sucked into the exhaust manifold while ejecting and get turned into kibble.

But again, when the president goes kerplewi, how does this get Palmer back into the picture? Did he become Secretary of State or something?

I am pretty sure that Marwan used the trade of Behrooz and Jack as a way to keep CTU from noticing the missing pilot and his family. Which it definitely did, seeing how no one in CTU was able to look at it thoroughly.

The episode seemed like a set up episode to get us ready for the big fireworks next week.

Right, he was using this as the distraction for that very reason, but why not just kill the kid right away if he doesn't think he'll be useful for some reason?

Perhaps so CTU will spend time trying to get him back....

I came up with another thought on this.

Marwan wants to cripple the US as well as make a statement. Blowing the president out of the sky sky makes a statement but doesn't cripple anything. What is the single target within range of a stealth fighter that would cripple the US and make a huge statement to the world?

How do you stop a suicide pilot in a stealth plane from completing an attck on the Hoover Dam?

The only thing that bothers me about that train of thought is why the limited window of opportunity? What else is planned to occur?

In a previous episode I am pretty sure Marwan specifically mentioned the president when he was on the phone with the pilot. So I would assume the president is the intended target for the stealth fighter.

So far I have really enjoyed this season of 24.

Some of my thoughts on last nights episode:
1. I can't believe how poor the defences were at the base with the stealth fighter! I would imagine there would be more than one mechanic working on the plane and I would also imagine that people would know each other well enough to at least recognize an unfamiliar pilot driving away with the plane.

2. I enjoyed watching and wondering if anyone at CTU would guess that Marwan was just using the hostage-exchange program as a decoy for his real plans. Usually you can count on someone floating the correct idea, but they just never caught on. Score one for Marwan.

3. Usually I don't care for the romance angles of the show, but I am intrigued with Jack's girlfriend and her current inner turmoil - Jack or Paul?

4. Poor  Edgar. If he only found the time to review that cd perhaps things could have gone in a different direction, but then of course the resources would have been diverted to the real problem and Jack probably would have been killed by Marwan. Can't have that happen.

I missed this weeks show (first one I've missed this year,) and didn't even realize it until this morning. So yes, I find it less riveting.

When I was watching this with a buddy of mine the other day, he commented that it was becoming like The Matrix...

"There's all these guns and stuff around and everyone's just talking..."

It is a little like The Matrix, in that the season started out amazing (The Matrix) and about midway through it has slowed down considerably and not been nearly as engaging (Reloaded and Revolutions).

Next week promises...they said PROMISES...to be amazing.

I hope they don't let us down. I'm anxious to see what's on tap.
