I would second the notion that many of the zeroes came from users clicking too fast or not reading the options. Whoever set up the web form shouldn't have 0 as the default - 5 would be a much better median.

It's quite possible -- even likely -- that most of the 0 votes are the results of automated web crawlers. With a default of 0 they'll just click the button to see if they can reach another page.
