2nd Ed Magic Item: Hammer +3, Dwarven Thrower.

I no longer have my old 2nd ed books around, but on the chance there's someone out there that does -

If it's not too much bother, could someone list out for me the abilities of the Dwarven Thrower? I remember that it was a magical warhammer, and it became more badass in the hands of a dwarf, but that's about all I can recall.

Dwarven Thrower: This weapon commonly functions as a +2 warhammer. In the hands of a dwarf, the warhammer gains an additional +1 enhancement bonus (for a total enhancement bonus of +3) and gains the returning special ability. It can be hurled with a 30-foot range increment. When hurled, it deals an extra 2d8 points of damage against giants or an extra 1d8 points of damage against any other target.

Moderate evocation; CL 10th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, creator must be a dwarf of at least 10th level; Price 60,312 gp; Cost 30,312 gp + 2,400 XP.

[edit: DOH!!! ... sorry didn't see the 2e request. iirc the +'s were the same, actually I would just use these stats or make it deal 3x dmg against giants (when thrown) and 2x (when thrown) normall)]

[edit: pt 2 ... x2 and x3 (vs giants) ... I'm impressed I wasn't that far off! ... had no idea about the range though]

[bq]Hammer +3, Dwarven Thrower: This appears to be a standard hammer +2. In the hands of a dwarven fighter who knows the appropriate command word, its full potential is realized. In addition to the +3 bonus, the hammer has the following characteristics:
The hammer has a 180-foot range and will return to its wielder's hand like a boomerang. It has a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls. When hurled, the hammer inflicts double damage against all opponents except giants (including ogres, ogre magi, trolls, and ettins). Against giants it causes triple damage (plus the bonus of +3).[/bq]
