2nd ED to 4th Ed Conversion?

I recently uncovered my I, Tyrant campaign (Eye of Pain/Eye of Doom/Eye to Eye) from the old AD&D 2nd Edition Monstrous Arcana series. I was wondering if there already exists a 4th Ed conversion or if there is a simple method to do so?

I see nothing floating around in Google, however converting to a new edition can be readily done by rewriting the encounters and maybe tossing in a skill challenge where appropriate.

2e favored attrition through the day with easily defeated monsters, so you might have to consolidate some encounters to make a singel 4e encounter.

I am running the WoBS campaign and am ahead of the official conversions, so this is what I end up doing... and its worked quite well so far.

Ahhh, I wish I had those. I only have one of the sahuagin modules, and it's not very satisfying since I don't have the rest of the series.

On the other hand, I do have I, Tyrant, the Illithiad, and the Sea Devils, and each one is awesome.

I'm trying to convert 1st edition to 4th edition.
I have found that if I leave the minions as they are but change the stats of some of the more difficult soldiers and bosses, I get less grumbling from players and a more enjoyable game. My goal is not to kill the players but to create a somewhat challenging game. I do that by averaging all the player character stats one at a time. For example hit points. A party of 4 have 39hp + 55hp + 39hp + 33hp/4 = 41.5-->42hp for the monsters. Because there are 4 party members, reduce the number of difficult to kill monsters by 1 or 2 depending on how well the party does previously. Sometimes I reduce monster hit points only to half the average hit points of the party to save time.

What do you think? Do you have a better suggestion?

When I've run 1e adventures in 4e, I have just converted everything on the fly. Even some monsters- oil beetles in B4 (I know, it's not 1e, but still), for instance.

My experience with winging it has been good, but if I were going to do a full-on conversion, I'd actually either sub in 4e monsters or stat up things with 4e stats. I really enjoy monster creation, though- it's one of my favorite parts of dming.
