D&D 3E/3.5 {3.5} Animal Empathy vs Wild Empathy

Have any of you DMs out there allowed players converting to 3.5 to get their skil lranks back that they have placed in Animal Empathy now that it is a class ability called Wild Empathy?

Sure, I have a druid in one campaign who suddenly got a lot better at spellcraft And scry isn't a skill either - a lot of wizards suddenly remembered a lot of knowledge skills after the convert I bet.

I definitely wouldn't screw the player out of the skill points, that's hardly fair.
