D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Druid: No weapon restrictions?

Thank the Gods! The Druidic weapon restrictions was one of the most absurd rules I had ever seen in a game. I'm glad to see that D&D is finally letting some of its sacred cows die.

Yeah, you would think that the across-the-board weapon restriction would be gone in 3e, when they allow wizards to use any weapons, besides their starting weapon proficiencies.
