[3.5] Druid Spell Changes Summary!!!

Nope I just relooked, you're getting confused because I answered Magic Stone and Searing Light on the same line. Searing Light is a Sun 3/Cleric 3

K, thanks for the reply! I was confused...the line made it sound like it was a level 1 spell now : P

I suspect that the 1st level spell Longstrider is some sort of movement amplifier - either a renamed Expeditious Retreat, or one that increases overland movement rates (there was a spell like that in Magic of Faerun whose name escapes me). The overland increaser makes more sense for a druid.

I don't understand this massive boost for the druid.

He gets a load of traditional wizard spells like Stoneskin, Gust of Wind and Polymorph Other all of a sudden...

When I saw the new Druid class I thought, "well now he looks good compared to the other classes", but with these huge changes to spells, getting many, many spells moved down in level, as well as gaining access to a lot of wizard spells, I can't help but get the feeling he'll be too powerful.

The poor wizards and sorcerers also got Spell Focus cut back, whereas other classes got improved saves against their typical spells (eg rangers get good reflex saves), and now many of the traditional "wizard spells" can be cast by a druid.. I don't like it.

My question is this: Where is Fox's Cunning and Eagle's Splendor?

looks like the 'lesser' casters only got the stat boosts most relevant to them. So bards got cha, int and dex, and druids get wis plus the physical ones...

Uh, spell focus has changed for all classes, not just wizards and sorcerors. It will also affect bards, clerics and, yes, druids.

I used to take SF and GSF in two!!! schools for my Druid.

I'm trying to decide what feats to take right now.

And that just about sums up the hacking of those two feats. I'm going to redo my Wizard for 3.5 and take two different feats. Not much point now. Kinda says something about the change...

True, but they were nowhere near as important for non-arcane classes, since the spells are much more limited in sheer numbers.
