I like it, it gives the gnomes something of a niche to themselves. I also think they make good woodsy bards or good urban bards, and we will shortly see a few interesting gnome-only prcs based around either of those aspects. The only truly disappointing thing is that we didn't get to see one in the dmg. Go whole hog, imo.
