3.5 Half-Cambion Template?

By the time it's 'half-Cambion' isn't it basically a Tiefling?

Mind you, if you're going from the Aasimar & Tiefling book from Green Ronin for the Cambion (LA +4) I suppose you might want something LA +2 -ish?

Around how powerful would you want it, and what kind of things would it absolutely need?

Well, the simple answer is the Half-fiend template in the MM. There's a Cambion in Expedition to the Demonweb Pits, but not as a template (it does have stats for using them as characters, however).
There's also a Cambion in the Tome of Horrors (Necromancer Games), but again, not as a template.

They're after a half-Cambion template, apparently.

Okay, you've all given me plenty of material to work with; I'll go with the Tiefling, I suppose, as the half-cambion, but check out the others as well.

A follow-up question- is Green Ronin's Aasimar & Tiefling worth getting? Is it 3.0 or 3.5?

Ah, bloodlines. Good call. Except for the fact that (I think) they're rather underpowered. Haven't actually used them, but yeah. . . they look that way. Even if so, it wouldn't be too hard to beef them up.

Definitely. :)

However, I'm a bit of a Green Ronin fanboi, so I'd suggest reading some reviews.

Oh, and 3.5 IIRC.

Not to mention that it's broken as written. The author even posted an apology that it got through editing like that.

Like others, I'd suggest a tiefling. But if you want to create something that for some reason has a little thicker demon blood than a tiefling, perhaps you can take the ToH cambion and pull out the amalgam template from Advanced Bestiary (also reprinted in Monte Cook's Year's Best D20 collection) to make a half-cambion.

I should note that both Advanced Bestiary and Aasimar & Tieflings are on sale through paizo or your FLGS right now!
