This is what I'll likely end up doing, but I don't make up my own answers until I've researched all the official RAW and existing precedents first.

If it helps to be more specific, I'm trying to figure the higher levels for a Psion character I occasionally play. He'll eventually True Mind Switch into the body of a Young Adult Black Dragon in an attempt to pursue immortality.

wow...it must having been even longer than I thought since I read the Dragonomicon I don't remember any hybrid dragons, I thought NO dragon would tolerate another in it's territory
