D&D 3E/3.5 (3.5)Hexblade or perhaps another character?

Wow thanks for all the advice! I did consider Dread Necromancer, but before I could look it up someone turned me onto to the Bone Knight, so that's the other option I'm considering.

So I'm torn between the hexblade and the bone knight. For the hexblade I'm planning on going with the Dark Companion ACF and then obtain familiar/improved familiar and getting a winter wolf and using it as a mount. Also going with Dreadful wrath and then eventually imperious command. I'm also allowed to use the hexblade fix as well, so that makes the hexblade a little more formidable. I'm also planning on taking the curse of distraction to help shutdown spellcasters.

For the bone knight I'm planning on going Paladin of balance 4/Bone knight 1. If I put my 24 in charisma, that'll give me a +7 to all saves, boost the lay on hands and rebuking ability and number of times I can rebuke per day. I also would start with a bonecraft full plate, and by the time I hit level 8 in bone knight I'd be immune to almost everything.

The plan is paladin 4/bone knight 4/divine crusader 1/bone knight 6. I have to figure out my deity, but I'm going for one with the wrath domain, and I'd get the last 6 levels of bone knight would boost my divine crusader spell casting levels. If I went with Hextor as my diety I may also consider dipping into ordained champion of hextor to get a bonus domain.

I'm also planning on taking power attack and then divine might so I can burn a rebuke use and get my Cha(+7) bonus to melee damage. And I may possibly go for law devotion as well. But either way, that leaves me with 2 feats unaccounted for.

Thanks for all your help!

hey, thanks for checking out the hexblade's fix i posted at my blog; it's really nice to try to breathe some new life into what i think is a fairly underused (underpowered) class. however, i note you're looking at curse of distraction. my advice? don't. it's pretty neat on paper, but once you realize that most dedicated casters can easily make the required DC, it gets a lot of the steam taken out of it.

my advice? Curse of Paranoia. it's great if you've got a blasty friend, or a mind-smasher in the group, who need specific saves lessened in order to have their hits land. for example: curse of paranoia plus the dark companion could mean a -6 to a foe's reflex saves, all but ensuring that someone's going to flub when it comes to avoiding your friendly allied mages' fireball. i saw a really well played hexblade who our casters and blasters soon came to absolutely love for his ability to knock our enemies' saves down by -8!

also, why not paladin AND hexblade, really getting the most out of that massive charisma? maybe something like paladin 2/hexblade 2/bone knight 4/divine crusader 1/bone knight 6? because they're from different sources, "the Cha to saves" of divine protection AND arcane resistance basically means that you're going to be making all but the most impossible saves around.

just something to think about.

well I need at least 4 levels of paladin to enter into bone knight, but I don't know why it never occurred to me to try combining both. I may end up take hexblade levels later on though, even with a one or two level dip, I could get the Cha spell resistance and curses as well. Perhaps I could level into hexblade enough to get the dark companion on top of everything else. I'd be immune to just about everything, could curse my enemies and command the undead as well. The possibilities are endless!

I'd be immune to just about everything
