found a dmg
Well.. after seeing this thread.. i called 3 flgs's and found our Gameboard not selling until Friday, another store clueless (they said they had 2.0 on the shelf still.. huh? 2.0?).. but the third was selling but they were out of the PH. I went down and picked up a DMG to gander at. They'll have a new shipment on the shelves Thursday so i'm happy with that. I haven't been to that store in a while (its mostly a comics store, CW) and was pleased when they gave me a 20% mark down off of cover for the DMG. They will certainly be seeing me picking up my PH there later this week.

Slightly on the other side of the world, but Hammacks in the UK also have all three for sale.
On on non-exhaustive, non-scientific brief inspection of the DMG I didn't see enough difference to warrant buying it. The other two where sealed...

I saw them in one of the FLGS that I frequent here in Atlanta yesterday (Saturday). Yup, they're so Friendly I forgot their name. It's the one on Peidmont between Peachtree and Sydney Marcus. Titan Comics, maybe? They seemed to be pretty stocked with all three, but that may not be true now. Don't think they were discounted at all; I ordered mine from Wal-Mart and didn't pay attention to that. I flipped through the DMG and saw one PrC that I was pretty stoked about, the Thaumaturgist - specialist in summoning fiends or angels, depending. I think I found the PrC for my Avatar that I've been planning (the one from Green Ronin). I hadn't heard about that one yet. Oh yeah!

I picked all three up in Orlando as well. They had a TON on the shelves. Drove from Melbourne to pick them up (1hr drive).
I asked them how come they were selling early ... they said they had "special" permission. I can't say I am buying that excuse.
Oh well ... got mine and three more from amazon otw.

Glad to hear the books are out in my town. The Florida Bookstore II had them advertised on the sign outside the store. Didn't really think they actually had it. However, I've only got enough cash for one book this month and that will be Monte Cook's Unearthed Arcana. I figure that I can play 3.0 for another month without breaking too much of a sweat.
Amazon just posted my order...
Amazon just sent me an email my books went out last night. It's outside TN now & heading SE (I love tracking my orders - it always surprises the driver when I'm waiting outside for him with a canned drink with his name on it...). As for Gameboard in TN, our local store uses them as a distributor & his were in the store on Thursday. He said he couldn't sell them to me then but he make an exception if I asked. I didn't have the heart to tell him I went through Amazon this time...

)Something I noticed off the bat in the DMG that I think is kinda dorky... The cutout spell templates and counters will need to be scanned to get the color and they didn't perforate those pages...
