D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Ki Strike question

Thurbane

First Post
Hey all,

Does anyone know of a way to get Ki Strike without being a Monk? Or more specifically, how to get Ki Strike (Lawful) without being a Monk 10?

I thought some of the PrCs that stack with Monk levels might do the trick, but I haven't had much luck.

It's to meet specific reqs, so "near enough" won't quite cut it in this case.

Cheers - T

Strange - I am looking for excaly the same thing. Are you trying to qualify for Sanctify Ki Strike too?

I'm thinking I'll just have to take Sanctify Martial Strike instead as I'm only planning on taking 1 monk level...

Aside from some homebrew options (Ki Warrior in example), I can't think of any class or ability that gives you the Ki Strike feature without being a Pun Pun.

I vaguely remember some monk PrC that might give you Ki Strike but that may have a requirement of something deeper into monk, I will look into it.

I don't know the answer to this one myself, but if anyone DOES find out and posts it here, I'll add this thread to my database (see my sig).

For that matter, the DB has names & page numbers, so if you have a clue to the answer, scanning my list may jog your memory.

I did find this:

I see nothing wrong with the requirements for Sanctify Ki Strike -- and one of my Exodus characters is a monk, with that very ability.

Withthe BoED, you don't need 10 levels of monk -- the PrC "Initiate of Pistis Sophia" provides full, stacking progression of a monk's Ki Strike abilities. Monk 5 / Initiate 5 works just fine, for example.

Which means that you can get Ki Strike (Lawful) without being a Monk 10...but you still have to be a 10th level PC.

(And as soon as I find where the Initiate of Pistis Sophia is located, I may have to add it to the DB.)

Right, but I need to find the page number, and I'll need to check out its prereqs so I can place it properly in the DB.
