3.5 Online Game Mondays

Hey there, I am going to be starting an online game using OpenRPG on Mondays, during the day EST.

But the highlights are this. 3.5, set in FR, using Rappan Athuk dungeon as a base.

About me, I am 43 and having been playing D&D since 1977. I like all editions up to 4th, but not 4th. I was active in the RPGA for much of Living Greyhawk and have DM'd at many major cons including GenCon. I am currently going to school to retrain as a chef, I was a soldier and later a software developer, but my real passion is cooking and pairing foods with wines.

I want this to be a fun game, but not a silly game. All ages are welcome, but a certain level of maturity is required.

p.s. Skype is optional, I have used it before, and it is great for putting out a lot of info quickly, and RPing, but sometimes things get "lost" in the conversation, so I tend to do a lot of typing to be redundant, to make sure you get all the info you need, when I use skype.

Glad to have another player or two, so far we have a druid (he is new to 3.5, but has experience in 4th ed.), an enchanter, and a ? (who was thinking about everything from a wizard to a tank). We had a 4th, but he is worried about getting up early every Monday, he lives in Florida and the game will be about noon or 1 pm his time.

I have two premade characters that I will run as NPCs if the parties needs them, or have them available for people who just want to drop by and give the game a go. One is a dwarf barbarian, the other a human cleric of Pelor. Or, if someone doesn't want to bother making up a character, they can have one of the premades I suppose.

New to the Website. And generally new to the game but it isnt unknown to me. I have the basics of character creation and rolling. General weight and movement and all that.

Playing in GMT+1 but if its US Late afternoon i might just be able to wake up early and if the weekends i can easily stay up late. Dont have a job and well I am 16 sooo that means school. The Next week i have off and then i will pretty much have holiday into the new year so it should be no problem to be in the game itself.

Im an avid roleplayer and well. I would like quite a serious game but not too hardcore (Had a forumRP i accidently stumpled upon that quickly fell victim to erotica)

I Would like to know more about the game and what programs we could potentially use for contact with eachother. "I Would recommend Dolby Axon but that requires a paying host if we want surround so skype might be easier"

Again. I have had many failed games but not a single complete game let alone one that didnt include a load of made up rules. So i would really like to participate.

More Info: I Have not made a class/character yet, i own all 3.5 Edition books (Had them since my 7th failed session one of which i attempted to be the GM)

Also what i might be thinking this as is a campaign if i am wrong then please forgive me and give me some advice on how to start on Dungeons and Dragons since after years of trying amongst those i know have found it impossible. Thanks.

I saw your post on Enworld, and what can I say? I haven't met you, but I'd bet we're pretty much compatible in terms of many things regarding RPing.
I'm not sure how to find you on the Blackstar server. Do you have a link or something that might help?
