D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Reduce Person--what's the point?

Casting it on yourself, you actually get +2 AC: +1 from size, and +1 from your increased Dex.

You also get +2 with ranged attacks and finessed attacks, +1 with normal melee attacks.

I think it's viable for a spellcaster who focuses on ranged touch attacks, although that 1 round casting time blows.

Actually, poly has a static limit (on the low side) of fine. Are there any fine humanoid, aberration, animal, dragon, fey, giant, humanoid, magical beast, monstrous humanoid, ooze, plant, or vermin creatures with human-like voice and hands? Fine is +8 AC and attack as it is. What would the AC, attack, and hide bonuses be for "size smaller than fine"?

..except that teleport teleports people now, not weight.

Ok my example was bad. It teleports "medium" people. So it still can be used in conjunction for large and higher things like mounts and such.
