3.5 Slipcase?

Ok, question. What do we know about the 3.5 Core Rules box set that supposed to be coming out in the next few months? As far as I can tell, it's just the three books bundled together, but it's got to be more than that. Pretty box? Something special? What?

See, I'm itching to run out and buy the new books, but I'm not going to buy them again in three months when the special box comes out. I'm trying to decide whether it's worth the wait. Keep in mind that a) I'd love to get the new books now, and b) I love pretty cases!

Yeah, I know. I'm just trying to juggle between justifying the wait by trying to believe it's going to be *really* nice, and the desire to get them NOW. So I figured I'd see if there was any more info on them than that link. Is the slipcase nice and thick, or is it really only useful as a purchasing gimick that'll fall apart just taking the books out a few times? That kinda thing.

So you can buy the books with a pretty box to put them in.

How often do you plan on leaving them in the box?

I'm going to hold out for this. I can make do with the 3 ring binders I got via the preview list. The box will be like the cherry on a sundae.

I thought about getting a slipped case set for myself but in less than 5 seconds it would just be an empty box wasting space on my bookshelf.

I guess if you wanted a mint set just to have this would be a good purchase otherwise there's no difference in the binding or covers of the books.
