D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 to 3.0: Reverse-engineering DR

First Post
As an avid Third Edition Cultist, I adamantly refuse to convert to 3.5. One of the problems I have been encountering recently are that a lot of good monster products use the wonky 3.5 rules for Damage Reduction. I prefer the wonky 3.0 rules because I'm familiar with their wonkiness.

Now, I once saw a file/thread/article (can't remember, gwaaah) which discussed the rules on how to convert DR for a third-party 3.0 product into the new 3.5 version of DR. If anyone has access to these rules, could you please post them (or a link to them) here? Or, if you have any good ideas of your own on how to do this in reverse?

1. You could leave the DR as-is, counting it as a special quality. (DR 10/magic and good becomes DR 10/-- with the SQ "if struck by 'good' weapons, the effective DR becomes 10/+1".)

2. Double damage amount, and convert the penetration on the following table:
* /magic: +1
* /material: +1 (minimum +2)
* /alignment: +2
* /epic: +5 (minimum +6)

For "and" DR, take the total of all elements; for "or" DR take the minimum (or one less than the minimum, if the conditions are hard).

Thus DR 5/good becomes DR 10/+2, DR 10/magic and silver becomes DR 20/+2, DR 15/epic becomes DR 30/+6, and DR 15/epic and lawful becomes DR 30/+7.

Thanks, CRGreathouse! This helps immensely with converting those 3.5 supplements for my 3E games.
