D&D 3E/3.5 3.5e Initiate of Honor feat

RedTonic

First Post
A player presented me with a VoP monk for my homebrew campaign and one of his selected feats is "Initiate of Honor." I haven't been able to find it in my books, and the main google result links to dndwiki, where it's classed as homebrew. Is there an actual WotC book with this feat, so I can see what it does, or is this a fan creation?

Thanks!

My usual reply is to make the player provide you with the source of anything they want to use that is outside the sources that you are using (if a strait ban is not being enforced).

Since becoming :uhoh: about these things someone not providing full details makes me think that they are trying to get something by you.

Seems like it should be from book of exalted deeds (I don't have it so I can't give you anything else).

Thanks. :) I checked the Book of Exalted Deeds, Complete Divine, and Complete Champion, and didn't locate it there.

I don't think he's necessarily trying to sneak (at least this time) this past me per se. Unfortunately I don't have regular contact with him outside of game days, so I wanted to get a jump on reviewing this sheet to save time.

Alas! It's troublesome enough evaluating the probably effect of Vow of Poverty on the game. I almost posted a query regarding that but I was afraid it would wind up being an argument thread.

Since we don't use VoP, or even the book it comes from a can only go on what I hear.

It is a power boost for some classes more than others (monk and paly come to mind), but also creates a style requirement that you/your group may not like.

I've heard others really like it.

Take a suck it and see attitude, then make a decision.

Allows you to move a 5ft step as an immediate action to change the target of a harmful spell from its original target to yourself? Seems useful to me, but the 1/day restriction makes me agree with Dandu.

As to your question: Yes, it seems to be Home-brew. Any non-SRD info posted in dandwiki isn't copyrighted, and so is Home-brew.

Yes, that's the only reference I could find to it, and its general weakness (as presented there) was why I was pretty surprised that the player wanted the feat, if that was in fact the feat. But it seems more likely. I hope to get that cleared up and the rest of his sheet squared away today. :)
