3.5e - Would you like some cheese with that whine?

You know it's ok to have an opinion thats negative.

The only thing that gets Tedious for me, is that there are so many arguements over 3.5

It's not even OUT yet. It's not even FINALIZED yet.
I mean, saying "ooh, it doesn't look like I'll like this." or "wow, I don't really care for the authors previous stuff, so I'm not very optimistic." is one thing, but calling people names and tossing insults, really seems beyond sillyness.

According to andycollins.net, it's now in typesetting which means that the rules themselves are pretty much finished. Not that we *know* about them, though.

Take what you like, discard what you don't, and play the freaking game you want to play. Sheesh.

Easier said than done. I've run into the problem of trying to find a common ground when starting or joining a game with people I haven't played with before. It's easy to establish what's in and what's out with a regular group, but when you're the new guy, or there are lots of new guys, too many options can be a bad thing.

"Um, we don't run bards like they are in the PHB. You need the XYZ pdf supplement."

"You're going to play a wizard? You'll need a copy of the new spell system by X. That's how we do it on our game."

"My character wants to wield a XYZ. It's a kewl weapon I found in the XYZ Manual."

"Can I play a XYZ? It's a sweet PrC."

Let's wait until the blasted 3.5 is out then complain folks. I know when it was announced 3e was coming out I slammed it every chance I got then it turned out to be really good.

Give it a chance first......
