3 Dragon Ante in actual play?

I echo the statements made her, mostly. I bought the deck, and we had a good couple games on a non-D&D night. I wanted to make it part of the campaign (as a way to introduce an NPC), but the rules for skills just didn't provide enough oomph to drag out the D&D session with it.

As a bar game, you could try LCR (left center right). It's a no-skill game that plays very fast and is cheap to buy.

I think that in a real setting people would pick up at leave at any time. (i.e. once a flight was completed and a the pot settled).

So you could have people trying to quit while they're ahead and others demanding they "get a shot to take it bacK".

Its not precisely like a game played in a tavern.... but without the instrux on the cards themselves it would be much harder to play.

On a side note... does anyone know whether the rules and the cards for the game of Tonk (Black Company) are published somewhere??? Maybe in the BCCS?
