I need a spell that will allow one character to hide in the shadow of another character. By hide I don't mean using stealth, but using the shadow as a sorta mini-pocket plane or something like that, so that the hiding character is physically not present.
I figured Shadow Walk is kinda what I'm looking for, but I'm not sure of a few things.
Firstly - the character using Shadow Walk is simply "plane shifting" to the Plane of Shadows, so I assume he can still be detected and attacked by the planes denizens?
Secondly - can the character be detected from the Material Plane? I'm iffy on how the Plane of Shadows works, IIRC there was something about it being similar to etherealness?
Does anyone know a better spell (or ability) for doing that? It's important that the hiding character can see what is going on outside of the shadow. The ability to breath in there would be appreciated but not required.
Friendly mod note: if you're looking for info from a specific D&D edition, it's useful to use the "prefix" drop down above the post to specify which one you're doing. You'll get a lot more and more useful replies when you do that! Thanks! ~ KM
