3.x/OGL pdfs and printables; which ones? just got a big printer

Huh; we apparently both have the same excellent taste in 3pp. I have all these in book form, except 'complete denizens' and 'tome of horrors 3.5 revised'.
I do have 'denizens of avandu' and the 3.0 version of 'tome of horrors' though.
I don't know who these people are, and googling didn't help me. Do you have more information or a link?

Complete Denizens is the pdf of Denizens of Avadnu with the psionics updated to 3.5 XPH version and the addition of the epic ones from Legends of Avadnu. A lot of duplication. I'm not sure the Tome of Horrors revised has anything new besides the 3.5 updates.

IDA was something like Interactive Design Associates and used to be on rpgnow. They did paper minis and the Loot for Less series. They aren't there currently though. Too bad.

Some more super useful stuff for at the table with 3.5.

Monster Geographica series by Expeditious Retreat Press. 200 page monster collections (OGC monsters collected, organized, and updated to 3.5) by terrain theme and organized by CR. Perfect for getting appropriate monsters to populate an area or to fill out encounter charts.

Lazy GM series Statblocks through various CRs for basic monsters. Want the stats for a horde of mixed style goblin soldiers? dive in here.

Bits of the X series by Tabletop Adventures. Good random flavor text for different terrains. Useful for making an RPG world seem alive through description and enough entries to use as random charts. Mostly editionless, but some 3.5 tidbits scattered through the series such as some hazards and monsters.

d20 Status Cards, from EN Publishing. Just buy some print-friendly sheets of card. . . say, 200gsm+? Or thereabouts, I can't quite remember. Whatever the printer will handle, I guess. And yeah, there are also the Buff Cards, if you think they'd be handy. Spell Cards also, I believe, though I haven't tried those.
You know, I hadn't thought of cards. Good idea. I tried searching for "monster spell item psionic cards" and ended up with this: Core Cards Pack Plus [BUNDLE] - The Other Game Company | RPGNow.com
Does anyone have any info on this set? good? bad?

Printer related:[sblock]I bought some cardstock today; the guy who originally sold it to me in the store also waited on me today. I asked him what kind of cardstock my printer took, and he told me '65 lb', and he got me a ream. Aus_Snow, what is "200gsm+"?[/sblock]

Oh, and if you like psionics, there's Untapped Potential. Not sure if you can buy that in print anyway, though. If so, maybe there's not much point doing it yourself.
I'm not the biggest fan of psionics, but i'll check it out.

I'll see what else pops into my head, or I might even dig through the files and post a few more (noteworthy) titles. :)
Take your time! Thanks again for mentioning the cards. I get paid this friday, and i'll probably get my first run of gaming stuff to be printed.

For everybody else reading this thread, please give me your suggestions. What 3.x pdfs are so good, they should be printed out?

Metric gone mad!

;)

Or (more helpful this time) Grams per Square Metre - see here for conversions.

Hm, looks like my estimate (or recollection) migh've been a bit off there. You can only try, anyway. If it it feels kinda card-like, you win. :)

If you like steampunk at all, DEFINITELY check out the awesome Steam & Steel from ENPublishing. I also used "ENArsenal - Pistols" quite heavily in my steampunk'd Eberron game.

Actually, I'm a fan of the whole E.N. Arsenal series, except maybe the two-bladed sword one which is just too drow-heavy.

0One's blueprint & colourprint products are awesome. The Great City is particularly made of win.
What makes steam and steel better than other steampunk books? How does it rate to the steampunk stuff in Dragonmech?

What can you tell me about the E.N. Arsenal series?

I had never heard of this stuff before. hm. I think I favor 'bits of the x' series most. Not really interested in reprinting monster stats [except for on index cards!] Still, having monsters sorted by environment seems awfully convienient.

Ah; You're one of the british people? :D

Alright; according to your link, 65 lb paper is equal to 244.56 gsm, so I'm good, right?

There are a few new monsters in there. I also think I added in examples for all of the templates if I'm not mistaken. If you have Denizens and Legends, it's probably not worth it to you. As to a book format for Complete Denizens, that doesn't exist. It's PDF only. I still have like 500 copies of the original... :erm:

What can you tell me about the E.N. Arsenal series?

Spiked Chain I really liked
Two bladed sword was okay
Hooked Hammer was pretty good
Chainmail Bikini was a little silly

Those are the ones from the series I own. The first three you can find my reivews on Drivethrough RPG under my real life alias.

Thanks for the responses so far, everybody.

Does anyone have any experience with either "masterwork maps" or the " [noun] & [noun] " series floorplans [castles & keeps, mansions & manors, temples & shrines, etc] from darkfuries publishing?

RPGNow.com - Darkfuries Publishing - The leading source for indie RPGs

It looks like they do regular maps and battlemaps, mostly in black and white, some in color. Are there any in this product line that are recommended?
