I want you to think about how much it would cost for the two of you to spend the 20 nights out together instead of having quality imagination time together. Crimson Throne is cheap at the price. And, your alternative is stitching together 8-10 modules at 15 bucks a pop, if you can find them now. Alternatively, you can write your own stuff: create your own world, people an entire city, come up with stat blocks, create interesting encounters and an engaging meta-plot. If that takes you 15 hours, then you get a bargain with Crimson Throne if your time is worth more than 10 bucks an hour. Trust me, as a DM for my own significant other, it's completely worth whatever money you spend to have this kind of shared imaginative experience be high-quality rather than mediocre. Your choice, of course, but you did ask what the best of 3E was for this kind of campaign. You don't get cheap with "best".</blockquote>
