3d weapons (just finished a sabre!)

First Post
In my next gaming session, one of the npc's will be a cleric of Moradin with a holy warhammer. I was screwing around doing illustrations, when I thought it would be cool to do a 3d version of the dwarfs hammer. So here are the results.

Being a holy weapon, I thought it would be cool if it had parts of the symbol of Moradin, in relief, so that with each impact, you are 'stamping' the symbol of Moradin into the 'heritic.'

Anyway I imagined that the head was made out of mithral, with gold, and a steel rod (or maybe silver?).

Oh, and I modeled the hammer using Rhino 3d and textured and rendered it using 3d Studio MAX.

Thanks for the comments :)

Yeah, gold would normally be too soft for a hammer, but I figured, being a magical weapon, they'd come up with some way to compensate that. Specially when it looks so cool!

If the game has a spell that can harden wood (Ironwood) than I figure the game can have a spell that hardens soft metals like gold or silver.

Ok, well, I found my self staring at my handywork with the warhammer for a while, and decided to do another. The npc cleric I created is actually part of a rival party my players are going to face, including a paladin/dwarven defender, a fighter, and a mage. So I thought, just for the heck of it, I'd design the dwarven Waraxe for the Paladin/Defender.

Here are the results.
