My favourite French word is "pooch". What's German for dog? "Hund", as I suspect? I like that word too - sure beats "dog" in terms of being cute. :)

What language invented the word "schnapps"? Humdinger of a word, that. Could say it all day...

Try pronouncing dog "dawg". :)

3E for me, all the way. I love the D20 system, because IMO using the same core mechanics to play all sorts of different genres makes it easy to play and easy to DM. And these days, easier to find players.

I'll play any version, BUT I'll never DM 3e again.

(I know it's not a good idea to say never, but I'm pretty comfortable saying it in this instance.)

Care to say why, Thorvald? I'm curious, since DMing 3E seems pretty darn easy to me.

Nope. I left D&D for years (before 2e even came out) because I hated the system. It took the relatively radical design steps of 3e to bring me back.

And even then, I like other d20 games that are somewhat more radical even more. Right now, I'd like to play in or run a game that mixed d20 modern and d20 Cthulhu rules with a fantasy setting.

I agree. I think once I get a chance to play it I will probably like it quite a bit. But DM it? I don't know if I want to put the effort forth after this campaign is over. Too much stuff to keep track of.
