Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with 3ednd.com. I tried to sign up for their Web site, in order to qualify for the discounts on Elements of Monsters and the first Mastery book. This was over two days ago at this point, and I did not recieve the confirmation e-mail from them which is required to make my membership official, and therefore cannot sign into their site. About a day ago, I sent them the following e-mail, which has so far gone unanswered:

About 24 hours ago, if not longer, I attempted to sign up for
membership on your site. I have yet to recieve the promised e-mail which I have to respond to in order to confirm my membership.

(By the way, the notice regarding that e-mail is worded very
ambiguously. Am I supposed to get the e-mail within 24 hours, or am I supposed to get it right away and make sure to reply to it within 24 hours?)

(Maybe the unprofessional wording should have clued me in that something was up?)

Anyway, just wanting to know if I'm the only one, or if others have been having the same issues.

I had their book marked on my wish list on RPGNow, and now it is marked as "Not Validated for Sale." there must be some difficulty going on. :(

Hmm...I wasn't a member of that site, so signed up and got my email within seconds. Clicked on the link provided and was then authorized.

Hmm. You might want to check and see if the server IP that the site is on is listed at Orbd.org as an open mail relay. If it is, it could be your mail server blocking the e-mail and not 3eDND.Com blocking it to keep spammers from relaying their crap mail through it.

Actually, the owner of that site/book was not following the rules of RPGNow and was blatently offering his book for cheaper on his own site and using our site for promoting that fact. The product description even said click here to buy it cheaper directly from me.

We obviously have nothing to gain by allowing that and asked that it be removed. He spazed and demanded his products be removed. So they were...

All's well that ends well...

I have now successfully signed up for 3ednd membership. They responded basically shrugging and saying to try again, I did exactly the same thing I did before as far as I can tell, and this time it worked perfectly. Not sure what was going on there, but I have the products now and have in fact posted about an issue with one of them already on their boards.

So, everything seems to have worked out.

Too bad. Obviously from a consumer's point of view, getting it on their own site is the way to go, but I can certainly see your point of view on it too.

Soooo....
1. He setup a contract with you to sell his product.
2. Under that contract, you charged him nothing up front, and took a percentage of sales.
3. He then setup a link so that he could sell the product for a slightly lower price.
4. You guys get no profit, and he gets free advertisment.

Am I getting this right? If so, then HE spazed? He's lucky you didn't just dump him in the river with cement shoes.

Then again, it's not too late!

:D
