[tiptoe]

Tiptoe leans against his shortspear, then takes it into his hands, moving close behind, shaking a bit. He whispers to himself softly, encouraging himself to have courage

all those people came out for us. i can be a hero.

As he moves into position, his two rats Munch and Gnash take positions to the sides (as small creatures this should be no problem) and should be prepared to flank at any moment. He's kept the two well fed and instructed them to behave: the last thing he wants now is to have to explain himself any further to his comrades. They have already been so nice, and actually seem to be accepting the strange position they've been put in! It's odd for Tiptoe to feel accepted, and even moreso to be accepted by his own kind.

"I'll be backs for now... but if you needs me..." his voice trails off.

Nodding to himself, he blinks once, hard, and follows the group into the caves.

The Enterance

[OoC: I agree... all of you have some good characters... now let's see if I can kill any of them! :D]

The group moves into the cave, Dagart in the lead, followed by Faust, Vanlail and then TipToe with his two rats flanking him.

The rats sniff the air infront of them as they head into the dark interiour of the cave. Rotten stench like a garbage pit in the midday sun, comes p from ahead. The light from the entrance iluminates a good portion of the cave, but going further, the dwarves natural senses extent into the beloria realm where they can see in the dark. Unfortunately for Faust, who lack darkvision, it begins to get dark, quick.

The dwarves make out alot of detail ahead. The cave still appears to be natural, though the walls are smooth from many things, creatures touching it, giving it a polished look. The cave opens up into a much wider area with a stair well that heads down. The ceiling also expands to the point where the dwarves can barely make out the ceiling. Small things seem to be moving up there, but the dwarves dismiss them, knowing the night dwelling bats are harmless, unless one of the mutant dire bats are up there with the rest... and still, it probably would not disterb them unless they disterbed it.

The stair well is a large afair that is definately crafted... and old. It leads down in a spiral and is about the same width as the enterance corridor. To the sides of the stairway are hitches for horses and alot of trash... broken pieces of armor, helms, weapons, as well as expended torches, and oil flasks.

OOC: I agree, I kind of like Tiptoe (though he is the first character I've run online, making him has been a blast).
But,from what I understand, Mith isn't one to pull punches. Enjoy Tiptoe while he lasts ;)

As the pleasantly reminiscient smell of trash, Tiptoe smiles a but to himself.
It's like home...

Pausing, he takes a look around the room more carefully.
He runs his hands across the smooth walls... Soft, rounded stone as this reminds him a bit of his dwarven studies long ago.

I wonder if I should go back with them.
The thought creeps in for just a moment, then he shakes his head, dismissing the idea.
One thing at a time... first, the cave

Tiptoe moves slowly and quietly towards the garbage piles, surveying them from a distance, first, to figure out if this was the dump before he came. He takes slow steps to avoid tripping over the scattered weapons, not taking much notice of any of them.
After being surprised by animals hopping out, he's used to being careful and won't get within reach, keeping his shortspear ready, just in case.

He turns to the group, moving close to talk quietly.
if I know anything I have to try...
"were otyughs somewhere, once... here, maybe..." he says in a strained voice, shrugging as his voice dies down.

At least we'll be well fed
:D

OOC: Mith, you're placing the rats I take it?

Casting a light spell on a pebble he found, Faust curses the dark, the caves, the pebble, the gods, and a few other things. Moving near Tiptoe, Faust speaks
"A oytog you called it? What in the 9 hells is that? In the desert, all we had were giant man eating lizards, Efreet, Fire Elementals and Demons. No Oytog. Why cant we deal with something normal?"
Faust starts a new round of cursing at these "dwarves and their caves and their Oytogs". Sighing Faust turns to the Dwarves "Any of you bring some drinks? I forgot. I feel as I may need some soon"

OOC: I feel as if Faust might not live long. The spelling is so show Faust cant pronounce it

Tiptoe examines the pile of trash carefully, but the caze is dry and lacks the molds that an oytog would enjoy. The trash is mainly of the metal, wood and leather types. Without moister, they have remained in pretty much the same shape that they were when they were thrown there.

Khaz cast the spell over the pebble... feeling strange as he does so... it seems that the enviropnment tried to resist his attempts to manipulate the magic. Finally, though the pebble starts to glow... faintly at first, then with greater briliance until the entire room is lit.

Khaz feels the spell, mentally still. It seems to continue to struggle with it's new life... it may not last the full 10 minutes he knows he could have amintained it earlier.
