#400: Jesse Decker's EnWorld embarrassment...

It was pretty close to the anniversary when he found out about the book.

Still completely was ludicrous in my view, and still (basically) called the dude a terrorist, or at least enough for him to offhandedly mention it in an interview that was mostly about what a fun, stressful job being Editor In Chief of Dragon was.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. Basic gist: Minor celebrity has an embarrassingly public rant about something they don't like, dude they're ranting about makes an offhand reference almost a decade later, Oh, EN World is a pretty interesting place to hang! :)

Since I am a "newbie" compared to you, I typed it the way I pronounce it.

It's the source that was incorrect here. Don't feel bad about getting it wrong when the original article did.

It is worth noting, though, that Morrus has gone on record to state that the site name is pronounced "eeee ennn world". I suspect incorrect pronunciation from Jesse Decker is the root cause of the problem.

Aww, wouldn't let me XP Celebrim! Anyway, cool post Celeb.
Indeed, if I hadn't already XP'ed his prior post I would have XP'ed the second post as well. The second post made me glad I wandered into this thread. Finding a gem of a post where you just don't expect it. Makes me want to wander around ENWorld a bit more to look around for more . . . but my time in a day doesn't allow it anymore.

Good stuff.

I think it demonstrates maturity to be able to appreciate both Beavis and Butthead and Citizen Kane. To enjoy only the pruerile and sniggering is to deny the idea that one thing could be better than another, or one way of living preferable to another; but to deny that that there is soul in vulgarity is to look the Universe in the eye and say, "You must not."

And yet the universe will.

If you accept that existence is a miracle, yes, yes it does.

Existence of bad things is not a miracle, nope. At most I'll go for some Buddhist 'everything has its place' meme, if I'm feeling philosophical.

Existence in general is not a miracle, it just is.

I can tell you one thing, on the surface of the Sun, nothing and no one cares if you're watching Beavis & Butthead or Citizen Kane.

Hmm, there doesn't seem to be any 'negative XP' button... :p
