The wizard said his goodbyes and now we are on for the battle for the last survivor!

Important new rule:

This round we are voting for the last survivor (as with the TV survivor show rules). Vote for the class you want to be the LAST SURVIVOR.

I predict confusion.

Anyway, voting for the fighter here. These are my two favorite classes, but the fighter edges the rogue on the basis of being more tactically interesting.

I don't know whether to be depressed, intrigued, frustrated, or some combination of all of the above, to find that this epic survivor has come down to the two most basic martial classes in the game. In any case, Fighter for the win, simply because I think 4E provides him the tools he's always needed, but never quite had.

Fighter FTW.

You can play the Tank, the Berserker, the Skirmisher... So many varied styles that the Rogue can't match.

My suggestion, close the thread now, remake it with your normal rules.

Every time I have seen a series of polls, and midway through they change how people are supposed to vote, it leads to confusion and misrepresentation.

I really want to see the end and get some true results, so lets just vote how we always have.

Fighter, your mark is stupid and you are so boring to play!!!

So you will die from sneak attack and the rogue will take your stuff, because when only one can remain, it has to be the Rogue !!!

How sneaky to turn the vote around for this final round ;)

I didn't fall for your deception, though: Down with the rogue! Let the fighter reign supreme!

You were right I voted for the Rogue because I thought I was voting him away. No I didn't read the post obviously, or the whole thread title for that matter. The rogue had to go.. I thought. Stupid having to rely on CA to do damage.

NOOOO! I voted for the rogue to stay! :-S
I wanted him gone so much that I voted before reading the text...
But hopefully the other one wins. Not that I prefer the fighter, I just don't like the rogue

Yep, absolutely. Best implementation of the fighter D&D has ever seen, in my opinion. Not so coincidentally, it's also my favourite class in all of 4e.

I agree with blargney and I think its quite cool that the final three were between three of the four classics. The fighter ftw and I DID read the post before I voted. Fighter has always been my favorite class, with wizard close behind.

The trick is that secretly an illusionist snuck in and used magic to confuse everyone, to ensure a tie between the two classes, leaving him the real secret winner.

The fighter has always been my favorite class, but it never felt like it reached its potential in previous editions of D&D. In 4th, the fighter kicks the stuffing out of people. He's still a meat shield, but if you ignore him, he punishes you.

I like the rogue, but the fighter is emblematic of everything that 4th does right.
