Admitting being wrong on something - anything - will destroy his self-image, worldview and his game?

Yeah, that's a big problem in this world – people would rather be dead than admit they might be wrong.

It is natural behavior. Ever tried to convince a child that the new meal it is to test is tasty? Believe me, my parents tried, and they often failed. I couldn't admit it might actually be good, after all my initial complaints... ;)

Think about it - I was like ~16 years old before I ate my first "real" Pizza (as in: not just eating the pastry after all the tomato, cheese and what else have been scraped off)!

Just to bring my participation of this thread back to topic, where does everyone think that a demi-plane such as Ravenloft would go. I'd imagine the Astral Sea, but I could see how it could be connected to the Shadowfell as well. Maybe a connection to both.

It might make sense as an Astral Dominion? I don't know yet how demi-plane and similar concepts translate in 4E. They might be "floating" through the Astral Sea or Elemental Chaos (even if infinite in size, due to weird multidimensional geometry).

Connections to other planes could always be find anywhere you want them, though. Thematically, the Shadowfell certainly fits best.
