D&D 4E 4e Dungeon Master's Screen - whoa

I don't want to even use a screen, but looking the stuff up during the game was no fun either, so I have it and am using it as a reference more than a way to hide things. I don't like a barrier between me and the rest of the game but at least it is low. Nice to see they "got it" in regards to construction quality at long last! Wish it had terrain information on there, but oh well.

It has other errors

There's a thread here noting them.

I believe it lists the action for equipping/not a shield as Minor, PHB table says Standard.

It says if you receive healing effect but have no surges left, there's no effect. PHB says you go to 1 hp in that case.

I am _so_ glad to hear that - I was playing it as a minor at Gen Con (where all the judges had the screens so I presumably just asked or borrowed) but I was looking at my PHB recently and saw standard and felt bad. I'm not sure it ever mattered (I just knew it was a minor so never had the shield equipped for skill challenges or physical activities), but I still hate making rules mistakes to my benefit ;)

It's quite a nice product. Very sturdy, I appreciate that. One quibble is that the screen is somewhat not tall enough. One of tables where I play is rather "crowded" and if players sit too close to me that can see over the screen.

they peak over, you blow their blasted noses off with a +5 nerfgun of Bogie Poking! That's what real DM's do!
Yup indeedy!
Sneakier ones are actually using a fake set of notes on top of the real ones... :D

Reverse gravity pit traps are the DM's way of saying: "SUCKER!" :]

on a more serious note, the DM screen they gave out to some shops few months ago, BIIIG thing with castle towers that you can roll dice down inside of...that is le cool!
