4e Freeport Companion

The Freeport Companion for 4e is now available for sale at Your Games Now for $18. The files have been sent to the printer and the $32 softcover should hit FLGS shelves in late January 2010.

Avast ye scurvy dogs and prepare your shelves to be boarded by the Freeport Companion compatible with the 4th Edition of Dungeons & Dragons! Complementing The Pirate’s Guide to Freeport, published by Green Ronin in 2007, this 176 paged tome will make Freeport accessible for 4e campaigns, complete with races, the corsair class, equipment, monsters, an insanity system, magic items and rituals, notable Freeport characters, and an introductory adventure.

This is awesome!

Can you talk a little about it. Other than the rules what are the differences from the other companions?

There are few difference from other companions as the material needing to be converted (monsters, npcs, a class, magic items, etc.) are all the type of stuff that one would see in the other companions as well. That said, the goal of the companions is to help a group port Freeport into a particular rule set, and I think the 4e Companion does just that quite well.
